Design: 4/5
Build: 3/5
Software: 3.5/5
Camera: 2/5
Price: 4/5
The phone designs today aren’t intrusive for a gaming phone, it doesn’t have the annoying gaming centric designs, it looks like a minimalistic look to it, well except for the aurora one, that one is straight up flex. It has a heft, it’s heavy to hold in one hand but feels good when gaming. This phone doesn’t have an IP rating because of the vents that the built-in cooling fan is so don’t expect this to be water and dust resistant so be aware of it. The screen to body ratio is amazing, first time using a phone that doesn’t have a punch hole or notch where the camera is, it makes whole gaming experience wall to wall amazing.
The software still have issues they need to fix like translation errors and some features on specific apps that need fixing that being said, what excels as a gaming phone, it lacks on camera. It sacrifices the camera quality because of it so if you’re expecting to have best of both worlds I suggest just get a different phone like an Samsung S-series line. But you’re here because for the gaming prowess of this phone, and you’ve came to the right place. This phone has an overclocked processor, the same processor it has on the Samsung S-series albeit a fraction of the price, but what the Samsung lacks is that it has a built in cooler. It’s a good middle ground if the price of an ROG7 is really steep and currently Blackshark doesn’t have a built-in fan to cool so it’s not good for prolong gaming so this is the best middle ground. It can run most graphics demanding games with all max setting without breaking a sweat, and for what is worth, with the new chipset this phone excels to be the best portable console emulator currently in the market.
The phone for what it’s worth is worth the price of admission just be careful not to throw it into water or let a dust built up in the vents.
